The Villanova Band, Shows Our Youth The Power of Music
The Villanova Band spent their fall break in Raleigh, NC serving and performing for local organizations and City Youth was proud to be one of their partners. The day included performances at Garner Rd. Community Center and Southeast Raleigh High School with band director Stephen Garner.
MLB Player, Chris Archer Encourages City Youth
Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher, Chris Archer teams up with Good Sports to donate recreational and sports equipment to City Youth Inc. to expand recreational and sports resources to youth at Garner Rd. Community Center and surrounding area who are program participants.
Good Sports donated over $5000.00 in equipment while Chris Archer spent time with local youth talking about the importance his journey which started just down the road. He encouraged them to display good character, be leaders and the importance of believing in yourself. More than fifty youth attended and were part of a spontaneous game of wiffle ball where they got pointers from the MLB player.

First USATF Certitied Road Course in Southeast Raleigh
The City Council of Raleigh grants approval for City Youth in Fitness and Education dba City Youth Inc to debut the Wetlands 5K and Magical Mile Run in Southeast Raleigh.
The approval granted City Youth the opportunity to debut the first ever certified USATF Road Race course to both begin and end in Southeast Raleigh. Getting citizens active and engaged in healthy lifestyles begins with making events and activities accessible to the citizens with-in the communities they live.
